Sustainability
We aren’t calling ourselves sustainable…
Why? Sustainability is complex. Every material and every process going into making every product can do better for the planet and to simply say it’s ‘sustainable’ or not does not represent the complexity of the issues involved in delivering a product to a consumer with the least impact made on our planet possible.
Every product anyone produces will have an individual story and present its own unique challenges in its production, from raw materials to processing to its final delivery. Therefore instead of using ‘green washing’ terms, we as a young and forward thinking brand prefer to be direct in communicating the solutions we have when it comes to our products. Whether that’s being able to source 100% natural and biodegradable materials, to using recycled and regenerated fibres where possible and failing this, making a commitment to carbon offsetting where we feel appropriate.
All our jersey used throughout our sweatshirts, joggers and t-shirts is 100% GOTs certified organic cotton and coloured using non-toxic dyes. These items are made in the cleanest way we can and are biodegradable to minimise their impact on the planet long-term.
Our shirting is produced using natural materials such as cotton, viscose and Tencel where possible. These materials will be able to be recycled or they will biodegrade when they come to the end of their life reducing the impact of fashion on landfill.
Where we are unable to use natural materials we are striving to make a commitment to using materials that have been recycled. These currently include silky satin shirts made from recycled plastic bottles and brushed flannel made from a blend of wool and recycled fibres.
